Darchinyan already looking past Donaire
VIC Darchinyan says he will challenge the winner of the Rafael Marquez-Israel Vazquez fight on May 22, after his long awaited rematch with Filipino foe Nonito Donaire.
The Donaire fight has been pencilled in for August 21 in Los Angeles.
Darchinyan lost his IBF and IBO flyweight titles to Donaire in a stunning fifth-round stoppage in Connecticut in July 2007 and has been chasing the American-based fighter ever since.
The Sydneysider's WBA and WBC titles will be on the line against WBA interim champion Donaire in a fight that is listed for the Home Depot Centre, a venue at which the Australian has already won twice.
Armenian-born Darchinyan's American promoter Gary Shaw is in final negotiations with the Top Rank organisation which looks after Donaire.
