His walk around weight was high 160-170, and being inactive was a problem too. Unable to get fights, then opening a business. I think boxing was being or is being to be secondary. There were rumor of him fighting Paul but they chose Cintron instead.

good info, but if he walks around 160-170, thats not bad at all for a WW.His walk around weight was high 160-170, and being inactive was a problem too. Unable to get fights, then opening a business. I think boxing was being or is being to be secondary. There were rumor of him fighting Paul but they chose Cintron instead.

No, Aydin is fun to watch but not great technically and will be beaten by someone with some more refined skill.
Also I don't think he speaks English and that hurts his star potential whatever that maybe in the States.Comment

Aydin has potential and a very good amateur background (400 fights, 350 wins).
He is more a fighter, not a beatiful, gracefull moving boxer.
He is a macho, because he needs it. He wants to win a fight and his thinking is like a warrior going into a serious fight. Its his way of motivation, therefore his bodylanguage looks strange for many people. Its a turkish way of machismo, like the old greats (Duran, Camacho), he is getting his power and will to win by doing it.
He has good fighting instinct, decent handspeed (underrated imo), good power in both hands, good bodywork and combinations at close quarters.
He needs to work on his jab, guard (his high guard doesn't fit to his fighting style, but he learned it in germany, but it was a blessing that he didn't turn to a robot)and his footwork, which was better as an amateur. He still believes he can knock anybody out, which is a mistake. If he learns to be more patient, and fight in a smarter way, than he can cope with the big guys and Top5 in his divison.
He just needs 2 or 3 more fights. And a good coach. I am sure, he will give us all good fights and he will be a champ one day (which is very important for turkish boxing).
While I know, that he isn't everybodys darling and nether will be, he could get popular. I really don't like his nickname, but it is his desicion and maybe he will get one oneday by his fans or the media. But he is the type of fighter, who has fighting skill and Gatti-like heart.
If anybody wants information about him, you can contact me. I am just a fan, but I have a solid knowledge about him (even if my english sounds sluggish
).

^This^no. hes got personality and the style to be an entertaining fighter.
i just dont think hes talented enough.
short arms, slow feet, limited defensive ability, doesnt have great hand speed, he loads up on shots and is wide open in b/t them.
his ring demeanor is a lot like darchinyan's though. arrogant as hell and thinks hes tougher than he really is. walks around flexing and posing like hes got a stick up his ass.
Not to mention that his punch output isn't overwhelming or even above average, which it should be for his style.
Ouali could have beaten him if he dug a little deeper. Seeing his fight with Ouali had me very confident that Collazo was gonna whoop his ass.Comment
