Martinez vs Bute for a shot at history?

Credit to Dwyer for coming up with the idea but this would be really interesting Martinez vs Bute, Martinez with the chance to be the first fighter since Homicide Hank to hold 3 titles in 3 weight classes at the same time.

He will have to vacate a division by the time that fight came around.

But that fight is asking too much from Martinez. A natural 154'er against a natural 168'er.

nothing to suggest that this is a mismatch. Bute has never fought a fighter with gifted handspeed. Bute has a big size advantage but size doesn't mean everything. Also Bute has a good jab but kind of has a weak right hook, something that could hurt him against another southpaw.

And BTW I am a huge Bute fan. Went to his last fight and lost my voice cheering for him. Just being realistic here. I also think Bute would win but no way this is a mismatch.

Ummm Bute is basically the exact same fighter as Martinez but 15 pounds heavier and thus more power

            Martinez would die

Bute is just as fast if not faster, he have 1 punch KO power, he is very slick, and poses every advantage really.

Mismatch, the Martinez hype is getting out of hand

nah I am not one of those who thinks Martinez is the best thing since sliced bread. But he does have a better right hook than Bute, better combinations, better head movement, better experience.
