Maidana got greatly known in the states for beating Victor Ortiz on HBO, thats a lame excuse to duck Maidana! Con ducked his mandatory Maidana for a fighter who couldn't crack an egg with his fists.

Maidana couldnt even sell out a small venue despite having a great undercard in Guzman-Funeka. Maidana can't sell ****. I'm very happy Amir decided to fight Paulie because Paulie is a better fighter then Maidana, is ranked higher, will get Amir more money and will get Amir more USA exposure.

Team Khan made a very smart move. They should be applauded.

I think this is a great fight for Khan. Plus I want to see someone shut Paulie up. If Paulie gets beat by Khan, hopefully he retires. I am sick of hearing about this loud mouth.

I don't have a problem with Khan other than his avoiding Maidana, but chosing the softest puncher in the division after refusing to fight his hard punching manditory is obvious. Khan fans, I didn't post this to upset you, it's just obvious.

Paulie is a decent fighter. He might not have any knockout power but he is very skilled. He gave Cotto a hard fight. I don't think this is gonna be an easy fight.

Paulie Malignaggi was a potential opponent for Floyd Mayweather before the Mosley vs Berto bout was cancelled. Paulie is going from a possible fight with Mayweather to a fight with Khan and he's going to be a tough test for Khan imo. If you look at Timothy Bradley's and Devon Alexander's last opponents - Lamont Peterson and Juan Urango, Malignaggi is at least the same level as the both them, and infact probably more tricky to fight then either Urango or Peterson because of his speed and movement.

This isn't the same Malignaggi who fought Hatton, it's a much better version. I agree with Malignaggi when he says McGirt unintentionally made him worse when he was under his tutelage, he's boxing much better lately since he left McGirt.
