Should Pavlik hire a new trainer?

I mean Jack Loew has been training Pavlik since he was a kid. I know Pavlik is a good guy trying to be loyal, but boxing is also a business. I mean if sons can fire their own fathers and uncles, I think Pavlik should find a new trainer.

Loew actually seems like a good trainer and he did a great a job taking Pavlik to the top, but how much more can he teach him? I am sure after nearly 20 years he's taught Pavlik everything he knows. Pavlik can really improve if he had a different voice and approach to his training. Hopkins and Martinez took him to school in one-sided fights so he may have loss a lot of confidence, but he isn't physically shot. Pavlik being only 28 and not quite set in his ways yet, so there's still room to improve.

Yes, he's still young and can benefit from a new voice.

No, he's damaged goods and not any trainer can improve him.

The best way for Pavlik to improve is to work on his defense first. He should also learn how to cut the ring off better. Boxers and slick fighters give him trouble.
