I don't see a problem with what Cunningham is saying, they have given Kotelnik a shot for a share of the unified 140 title and he is talking tune up instead of talking about getting camp ready for a title shot against the #2 man in the division on HBO. He is a ****ing idiot. I'm glad Cunningham is letting him know off the bat that they are not going to waste time on him, he has a shot and if he doesn't make it they will move on.

I believe this is just a stay busy fight for Alexander so that he can fight either the winner of ortiz/campbell, khan/malinaggi, or Bradley/Maidana

He stopped Witter on hand trauma, and it wasn't same Witter who was gifted with decision over Kotelnik, Khan ran'n'jabbed all day from Kotelnik and Maidana's fight was close. It wasn't robbery.

He was still beating Witter pretty comfortably though, whereas Kotelnik had a close fight with him and lost. Kotelnik would be a step backwards. Fighting Zab would be a perfect tune up for a Bradley showdown because he's a slick speedster and he's a good name on Devon's resume, especially if he beats him more convincingly than Cotto and Floyd did.

A lot of you guys are idiots. Team Alexander is spot on. I am so sick of waiting to see fighters fight because of inactivity, tune ups or injuries. There is NO reason what so ever why Alexander should not be fighting in August. What's he gonna do, sit around for 10 months or more waiting for his massive fight against Andres Kotelnik????????? ***, Kotelnik is a tune up in his own right for Alexander. Not a damn thing wrong with what his team said or wanting their man to get in the ring and fight.

You guys ***** about Chad Dawson and his inactivity between fighting legit fighters but then you ***** that Alexander won't give Kotelnik time? Some of you guys are ******s.

He's probably pissed because most of the names at 140 are tied up. Kotelnik has a good record and has fought some top fighters so it would look good on the resume. Lets not forget that it would probably be an easy win for Alexander so that's why he probably blew up. He does have a point though, this is Kotelniks one chance to do something big, he shouldn't sit on it. Anyways, Alexander needs to get more rounds because he's almost at that point where he wants to take on the very best and Kotelnik is not one of them.

everyone doesn't play by st. louis rules. if cunningham is doing PR for alexander he should understand that. if not, alexander should get another PR person.

Team Alexander is well whithin their rights thinking this. They pegged Kotelnik as their next opponent; Kotelnik doesn't have a belt, a fanbase in the US, is coming off of a loss, and doesn't bring any considerable money.

It's close to a replica of the Klitscko Haye situation when Haye first went up, except Haye does have a fanbase, brings considerable money and hype, and is not coming off a loss. Kotelnik either has to step up or back up.

They're well whithin their rights to think it and telling Kotelnik and his camp this, but saying it in the media is kind of tasteless.

I'd love for Zab to come here and fight as would alot of people here but for whatever reason that just isnt happening and with all these fighters just sitting i can see them calling him out like that to either get the fight or make the guy look scared either way. But honestly it's like that here in St.Louis people don't play these games and if they feel someone is bull****in they will say something on the drop of a dime.
