So why isnt Wladimer top 10 P4P?

Dude is the ruler of his division for a real while now and he really hasnt had a serious challenge in a long time since losing in 2004. So that means he hasnt lost in 6 years.
Not only is he beating challenges but he's dominating and knocking them the **** out.

Just because the man is a heavyweight doesn't mean he shouldnt be in the top 10P4P.

because HWs aren't included in most people's P4P lists? Nothing to stop him going on yours though.

There isn't a set criteria for p4p - it is a mythical concept

He's on mine. Definitely higher than over rated Paul Williams, Hopkins, and Mayweather.

He should be in there...there aren't loads of stand out fighters at the moment. Quite a few have lost or retired in the last couple of years...he definitely stands out as far as the current champs go.

Both Klitschkos should be in the Top 10 P4P.

Ring Magazine's Doug Fischer: "The Klitschko Brothers are both in my Top 10 P4P list."

Welcome to The Ring. The bible of boxing. All access to boxing's latest news, matches, fights and events.

I agree with your reasoning. I used to keep heavyweights off my personal P4P but then I thought “Why not include them if they’re worthy?” I think both Klitschko brothers deserve pound-for-pound top-10 inclusion. They’ve got the accomplishments, skills and talent to merit it. I’m not part of the magazine’s decision making process on the ratings, but I do occasionally compile my own P4P top 10 list for the Yahoo! Sports rankings poll that Kevin Iole puts together every few weeks. I missed the deadline for the most recent poll but here’s my list, which I put together before Wladimir beat Chambers (hey, why let it go to waste?):

                1. Manny Pacquiao
                2. Floyd Mayweather Jr.
                3. Shane Mosley
                4. Bernard Hopkins
                5. Chad Dawson
                6. Juan Manuel Marquez
                7. (tie) Wladimir & Vitali Klitschko
                9. Paul Williams
                10. Hozumi Hasegawa

So there you have it. I think the K Brothers are in the mix with JM Marquez and P-Will. And note that Cotto and Donaire aren‘t in the top 10.

Because he's not as skilled as the fighters on the list, his size enables him to dominate opponents with his basic boxing skills.

                    FAO: MUG

There was only ONE legit knockdown in the Wlad/Peter fight....Wlad dominated the fight and had Peter badly hurt and out on his feet in the 12th round. If there was a 13th round Peter would've got KTFO by Wlad.
