I took a look at his fight with Margs and he was flat footed and throwin wild haymakers. It made me think back to his last 7 or 8 fights and it was pretty much the same thing. Honestly his speed and quickness was left somewhere between lightweight and Vernon Forrest.
Shanes best fight were the ones in which he could sit down on every punch (De la Hoya, Vargas, Mayorga, Margarito) because they were too slow not because he was so fast. Floyd's seen many like Shane but Shane has seen none like Pretty Boy. That is the difference in this fight. Shane will get wild and slip. May will be there to catch him with a straight right or five. If Im delusional feel free to weigh in. Gimme somin to think about.

Floyd's speed at WW has been mainly comprised of him timing his opponents and countering where Mosley's attack tends to switch up from Mosley using that flickering jab to all of a sudden him throwing quick right hands and shots to the body.

An interesting thing too about this fight is neither guy has really used combination punching in their arsenal for quite some time now, and I think this fight they're gonna need to let it all out just to be in the fight.

but seriously SSM is not as fast as floyd. Even cotto was matching ssm's speed when they fought (of course part of that is cotto great timing)
In any case, SSM has decent speed but he's not as fast as floyd.

Floyd at the lighter weights had tremendous speed and threw in combinations and also got in dog fights at times. Now he pot shots, not many combinations and is flat footed. Mosley has faster hands in my opinion. So do guys like Pacquiao and Martinez.

You are right, Floyd's timing is what separates him from the rest of the field. He also beats guys to the punch. Shane wont be able to throw that play play jab and not get hit.

Speed is never irrelevent but it can be countered with great timing. For example: Gamboa has supreme speed but he is wild. Gamboa with no speed is nobody. I cant wait for Lopez(timing) to get hold to that ass.

The only thing Mosley can do is brawl and hopefully knock him out, lets face it Mosley is a clumsy sloppy fight who swings wildly with his eyes closed. To go out there and try to box Mayweather would be suicide Richardson knows this that why you havent neither one of them talk about boxing him.

Floyd's skill is REAL....his GREATNESS is a myth!!.....40 ****in' fights and ONLY 2 of his opponents were unbeaten....I think B.Hop has fought like 10 unbeaten dudes .......I'm just messin' with yall ....Mosley's speed IMO will match Floyd's......the biggest myth is the gap btween the 2 fighters.....the gap is NOT that big to NOT think Floyd will lose or even get KTFO by one of the game's hardest fastest punchers!!
