as much I hate to see juanma pursue a fight like this , I can't blame him for trying to pad that bank account while he still can.but this definately not a challenge.if gamboa/lopez, fight don't happen by next year, hard to see if he will ever want a TRUE challenge, but Still think arum will get the fight by June '11.patience is a virtue. If they move on with this poss matchup lopez/izzy-mrquez winner , Hopefully they will show it reg showtime not PPV

Like, i said like 3 months ago, this was going to happen. He has been calling this 2 since he won the title against De Leon.

Now as a boxing fan, I would prefer a much tougher challenge for him. Like Rojas or John, but he is making the bussines move. He will get paid and get to be better known in the process, and a good name on his resume, not that the win would matter much.

Thats sounds good to me too.I don't think people give Israel or Rafael any chance to win cause of their age but Ithink Juanma wont get passed either one of them.One thing is for sure if he ever fights Israel ,MAKE SURE SOMEONE CHECKS THOSE HAND WRAPS!!!.......

You can't only accuse Lopez of being protected from Arum. It's like he goes out of his way to avoid real challenges. How his ass rimmers can defend him is beyond me.

Like Mayweather with the welters, Lopez wants big names that are just a little long in the tooth, and slightly diminished from fighting in real wars with other real warriors. Arum probably soiled himself during the second half of the Mtagwa fight, and has since been reticant to put Lopez anywhere near Caba or Gamboa. Funny thing is, even after their fourth fight, Izzy or Rafa will still smoke the Puerto Rican upstart.

Rafael Marquez is gonna beat Vasquez and I'd tune into a Lopez-Marquez fight since Rafa would have a puncher's chance. It would still be a ho move on Lopez's part.
