Bro he beat Martinez 10 years ago. Alot has changed since then no? Everyone knows he was green and no one on here ever counts that fight against him. Martinez had 16 fights when he fought Marg.

Martinez vs. Williams is the fight. Sounds like Martinez is taking the easier road. After saying Williams was his toughest test of his career. YES. Including his loss to...................Margarito.
I say let him take the easier fight for once... let him make a few bucks.

      He's 35 already.

Can someone tell Sergio that Will-Martinez was a classic and boxing fans want to see a rematch and not him fight the DISGRACED Margarito.

Why does Marg deserve a chance to be WBC Champion or possibly the Lineal Middleweight Champion?
life at MW doesn't revolve around pwill. get pwill's **** out your mouth. j/k.

but for reals. Martinez wants to get revenge against Marg. IMHO, nothing wrong with that. also probably a calculated move since Sergio knows if he beats margo, he gets some of margo's fan base.

Martinez vs Margarito would be ******ed. Margo is damaged goods, and he's DEFINITELY not performing anything more than 35% of his best at 160. If Martinez came back down to 154 it would be closer, but Margo would still be at like 50-60%. Its a complete mismatch. If Mosley, a guy with no legs was able to destroy Margo, what the hell is his leftovers doing against the 160lb champion? Martinez should have had this rematch a long time ago. The Margo that KO'ed Cintron would have a really good chance against Martinez. He might have even TKO'ed him again.

Pacquiao would kick Margo's ass, so how the hell would Martinez-Margo not be a mismatch? Sergio is 35, and at the point where he needs to take nothing but big fights from now on before his athleticism is snatched away by old age. He should fight Pavlik, and then the winner unifies with Sturm once his contract is up.

                Thank you.

When has Marg EVER looked good at 154?

Was he not just KO'd in his last fight over a year ago?

So how in Gods name will he look at middle weight?

This is a mismatch Ive yet to see one Martinez fan admit that.

martinez wants to avenge his only clear cut loss its just that simple. martinez also went on to say that a rematch with williams and pavlik are also 2 fights he wouldnt have a problem taking.

This is what a PRIME Margo looks like at 154:

Against the guy who Yuri fricken Foreman knocked down twice LOL he lost by decision. I don't even want to think about what a shot, inactive Margo who would only have one fight on his resume since getting KO'ed by Shane 1 1/2 years ago would look like at 160. I wouldn't even be surprised if Garcia softens him up more, since he's got Roach in his corner.

So this cat after fighting two huge fights is not allowed to ask for a fight that granted won't be "the easier road" as you eloquently put it? the man got outhussled and beat by Margarito 10 years ago, this is not about taking the "easier road" it's about making a statement and conquering the man who beat him years ago, he left both rematches open for Williams and Pavlik, he said he would love both rematches, he never said "well I just want to fight Margarito, I don't feel like I need to rematch Williams or Pavlik" he has verbaly agreed for both of those fights my man so why are you stressing it? like I said, you need to worry about Cintron.
