Kostya Tszyu set to comeback, Eyes Mayweather, Pacquiao or Mosley Both

Former IBF/WBA/WBC light welterweight champion Kostya Tszyu might be interested in making a comeback if he had the opportunity to fight one of the mega stars – Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr. or Shane Mosley. It would take one of those fighters for the 40-year-old Tszyu to whip himself in shape for what would likely be his biggest payday of his career. Tszyu hasn’t fought in over five years since being stopped in the 11th round by a young Ricky Hatton in June 2005.

A lot of people felt that Tszyu was finished as a fighter after before that fight and weren’t surprised that he hasn’t fought since then. Despite losing that fight, Tszyu fought remarkably well given that Hatton was all over him during the fight, wrestling and punching on the inside for prolonged periods of time. The fight would have likely looked much different had it taken place outside of the UK. As far as Mosley, Pacquiao and Mayweather showing interest in the 40-year-old Tszyu for a fight, that’s highly unlikely and probably not something that is realistic to hope for.

Tszyu has been out of the sport for too long and a fight against him likely wouldn’t be a huge interest to casual boxing fans in the United States. Hardcore fans would like it, but the casual fan wouldn’t likely be as interested because many of them wouldn’t know who Tszyu is because of his long time away from the boxing ring. If Tszyu was seriously interested in getting fights against Mayweather, Mosley and Pacquiao, he would be better off facing some of the top contenders in the light welterweight or welterweight division and proving he still has it. Tszyu would have to take off a lot of weight to make that happen because he’s looked chunky for the five years.
What you guys think of that?

I agree he has his boxing academy going strong, and his son is climbing up in the ranks and already has a reputation for himself as an ameteur.

I still however think kostya could get up and give alot of todays fighters a run, but Mayweather and Pacquaio....

        I wouldnt go that farrr

LMAO, what's next Rid**** Bowe asking for a Wladimir fight?
That's bullcrap, Tszyu hasn't done **** to deserve it, never fought at 147, is shot to **** and got his ass kicked by Ricky Hatton.

He doesn't even deserve a Nate Campbell fight.
