    If Floyd....

Beats Shane so convincingly that a rematch isn't appropriate, and then turns around and beat's Manny's ass in the fall, can Floyd be the GOAT?

Not the GOAT, but if he humiliates both of them, he gets an argument for top 5 P4P. But I don't mean beats them, I mean absolutely destroys them, shutout UD's or dominating knockout. And that won't happen.

If Floyd beats Shane, then Shane was old and inactive. If Floyd beats Manny, then Manny was a distracted politician.

We need to stop this debate about who is the GOAT. It isn't Floyd Mayweather (I am a Mayweather fan saying that) and it damn sure isn't Manny Pacquaio. Neither one has had the competition needed to even mention them in the conversation. Also, no one can truly classify anyone as the GOAT because it is impossible to compare fighters of generations past to today's fighters.

The same would apply to any other sport. People who grew up watching Bill Russell or Wilt Chamberlain would argue that one of them is the GOAT. Those who grew up watching Michael Jordan would argue that he is the GOAT. Those who grew up watching Kobe Bryant or Lebron James would argue that one of them is the GOAT. Its a useless argument because it can't be proven.
