Cottos jab owned Mosley. He timed him easily. He outboxed him most of the fight. He was faster as well. Shane struggled with Cotto isnt half as skilled as Floyd.

Cotto also took risks in order to land his shots. Floyd's going to have to take risks in order for him to land flush and consistent on Mosley to be effective. Two totally diff styles.

I think it's because of the respect he has for Marquez. Mayweather will not show that respect against Pacquiao...maybe he will show it against Mosley because he's bigger and stronger but I doubt it. To Pacquiao he def will not show it if that fight ever happens.

He had respect for a fat lightweight but won't show respect for the two top welters?

            Alrighty...

              LOL.

Mayweather had respect for the Marquez brothers before they were even famous. He called it first a long time ago, he said Marquez will be a top P4P fighter someday and he always showed respect to him. At the build up, Mayweather showed nothing but love and respect for Marquez and never badmouthed him.

Has he ever done that with Mosley or Pacquiao?

If he has respect for Marquez then how much respect will he have for the two bets top welters?

You're right, but Cotto also took a good number of shots in that fight from taking those risks. In order for Floyd to be successful in being effective with his punches, Floyd's gotta get a little risky and let his hands go to show the judges he's in control. I don't see Mosley sitting there letting Floyd set up traps for him like he did with JMM and Hatton. I actually see Floyd coming out of his shell in this fight. If he does, it could really propel Floyd's status among his haters of how good he really is against the best....or it could be a historical night for Shane.

Nonetheless, we got a classic brewing.
