Ike the Bazooka Vs Verno Phillips

Ok everyone we all know that the Ike Quartey Vs Verno Phillips fight will be featured soon. I have not seen any threads on it so I wanted everyones opinion. Who do all of you feel will win?


I feel that Ike has been out of boxing too long and he is an old man now. Secondly he never performed well when he went above 147 punds. At 147 he was a monster and in my eyes he handed oscar another defeat, along with whitaker but he wasnt given the nod. I feel that with his advanced age, his weight, (Fighting at 154), and the fact that he has been off for several years, that his chances of wining are not too good.

He's only had 1 comeback fight & he looked dominant against a nobody though. That fight was at 160 too. He's back down to 154 & this should be a shoot-out while it lasts. Phillips isn't a ****er but throws alot of punches & Quartey is always up for a war. Quartey is one of my fav fighters so I'd like to see him do well so I hope he has some left in the tank. Maybe we can see a fight with him & Mayorga if he can beat Phillips.
