Paul Williams is getting too much respect on this board

He has a win over Martinez and a win over a guy who beat Martinez(Margocheato).

You gotta point, but it was a argueable decision, though it has to be respected as legit. But Martinez is older, fighting and beating younger, bigger, stonger guys. I think that should be taken into account. And to 2501, that's plain ******. If Williams were white, he'd be even more hyped.

Cotto lost his last fight even tho it was the number 1 guy he lost it by a lot

and Martinez LOST to Williams if you dont remember. so i agree he should be above them.

I think those are all valid arguments. I would say P-Will deserves to be AT LEAST rated amongst them; with his accomplishments already AND his willingness he can surpass them within this year or the next.

William is a very good solid fighter, he does however get overrated by most of his fans here. What we know about Williams:

Pros.
. Exciting style
. Comes foward
. Decent power
. Good body attack
. Solid chin
. Throws over 100 punches per round
. Excellent stamina

Cons.
. Can't fight tall
. Very weak jab
. Struggles against slick southpaws

To me Paul is a B+ fighter, very exciting to watch and I've become a big fan of him in the past year and a half.
