Pavlik: Too drained for Martinez but too heavy for Hopkins?

Anyone else notice this? I mean he fought Hopkins @ 170 and now Martinez @ 160 and blamed weight on both occasions. For Hopkins he was above his natural weight class then for martinez (who came up in weight) he says he can't make 160 anymore and was too weight drained.

    I'm confused!

Pavlik too 1D w/ a **** corner for hopkins and martinez (and probably 70-90% of the other technicians and slick boxers out there, especially after Bhop and Martinez mapped out how to pwn him)

it was the cut that lost him the fight, but also martinez caused the cut w/ a punch and exploited it.

It sucks that some people are taking credit away from Bernard on the win. Kelly is clearly more natural at that weight. He barely made weight for the Martinez fight and has ben struggling to make middle weight for the last 2+ years.

Weight wasn't a factor in either bout imo.

The factors was both Hopkins and Martinez had superior footwork and are very good counter punchers. Those are two things that will always cause trouble for Pavlik.

Well the Hopkins fight did happen 2 years ago. Is it possible the he felt more comfortable at 160 in 2008 and now feels like a natural SMW in 2010?

Jermain Taylor grew out of 160 in about the same time as Pavlik.

Pavlik admitted the weight wasnt an issue vs B-Hop
