Froch deserves respect if he defeats Kessler in Denmark

The reason I follow and respect Froch is because of his will to be the best and he will fight anyone. He gets blasted for "not being skilled enough" but come on now, If he is what 26-0 and champion then he obviously has got something. Look at his last 4 opponents too, Rybacki (15-0), Pascal (21-0), Taylor (28-2), Dirrell (18-0). And he beat them all, but he won't get true respect until he wins the whole tournament. Wheras fighters like Ward and Dirrell just need to turn up and the americans will go wild for them and give them mega props for beating extremely limited opposition and getting 1 win over world class opposition.

Funny that Wazza says Kessler is a "B minus fighter who beat nobody" yet loves Amir Khan. Please let me know, Who has Khan ever beat other than Kotelnik? Absolutley nobody and in addition to being too scared to go for another belt (Like Kessler) he is too scared to even fight his manditory.

Add to that that Kessler (rightly) was afraid of being DQ'ed himself as the referee repeatedly between rounds cautioned him. Ward was never cautioned.

The most incompetent referee in recent memory was in the Dirrell-AA fight.
The most biased referee in recent memory was in the Ward-Kessler fight.

I hate Calzaghe myself but ill tell it how it is, Before this tournament everyone was saying Kessler was the favorite (Even Dirrell and Froch said this) and now he loses once vs Ward who as many have pointed out was basically allowed to use his head as a third first. Ward's win is treated as like a great victory and the american people refuse to even talk about the headbutts. But if Froch now goes on and knocks Kessler out, People will say some crap like "Oh well Kessler was never good to begin with and just got destroyed by Ward". It's just the way people are but if Froch beats Kessler I think he deserves ALOT of credit because not only is the fight in Dennmark but it's also by far the biggest fight of Mikkel's career. He needs to win badly

Nonsense, Froch won the fight with Dirrell. You need to accept that.

Ward should have lost by DQ to Kessler - that last headbutt was OBVIOUSLY deliberate and nasty.

Kessler hasnt beat anybody significant and youre right Amir also hasnt beaten anybody significant either. But there is one tiny, very small difference though...: KESSLER is 31 and AMIR is 23.

Boxers rarely are willing to go on the road to defend their titles.

However, in the Super Six so far Kessler lost his WBA title in Oakland to Andre Ward, who was permitted to get away with numerous fouls: deliberate headbutts, hitting on the break, and holding & hitting.

Froch will be defending his WBC title against Mikkel Kessler in Denmark this coming Saturday. Of course, Kessler is a better sportsman and has more class than Andre Ward, so there won't be a lot of fouling! And the referee will be from a neutral country.

Still, it's always a little tougher to win on the road with the crowd rooting for your opponent.

So I reckon Froch deserves respect if he is successful in defending his WBC super middleweight title on the road against an excellent fighter like Mikkel.

Agreed, if he dominates and KO's Kessler late on then he will get respect, which may be his best chance as I don't see him getting a decision in Denmark unless he clearly wins which i don't think he will, still no matter how he wins the American media will say it was against a broken fighter because of Ward

Froch deserves respect now. He will definately be the man in control if he beats Kessler. Andre Ward beat Kessler bad Im interested to see how Mikkel comes back.
