Ima Die hard Hopkins fight and i WAS NOT impressed with his last fight. That was probably the worst Hopkins fight i have ever watched. But i still think he could hang with the elites even tho is age. just a year and a half ago he spunk Pavlik.
I mean the guy should be able to choose his next opponent because he is pushing 46 plus he should fight one more time to go out with a better performance then the Jones fight.
He already is an ATG IMO and James toney isn't. Toney is just a fatass with talent that could of been one if he woulda stood out of the buffet line.

Maybe Bute can make it more of an action fight. I don't think so though. Hopkins is a master survivalist and he is 45. I think the fight would be at a 45 year old's pace. Hopkins would rather get dq then take a beating. He will hold often. If Bute hits him low he will go down for a long time, till he is ready to hold Bute again. Hit him behined the head or his head comes close to Hopkins same thing. Hopkins is a winner and he does not care how he gets it. It would be a bad fight. Its a high risk and very low reward fight. No one cares if he beats Hopkins. Hopkins is not even considered that good of fighter anymore. Lots of boxing fans on here say he should retire.

Maybe you've only seen or remember the fat version of JT but before his loss to RJ, he was a beast. He has scored a KO in every round and won titles at middle, super and cruiser. RJ became a star because he beat JT who was undefeated at the time (45-0). He did kinda fall apart after the RJ loss but don't discount his whole career because he stayed in the game too long.

I've been a James Toney fan my whole life but I am a bigger B-Hop fan. James needs to worry about himself. Bernard had no choice but switch to quests because David Haye refuses to fight him so he can play tag with the Klitchos

Hopkins needs to retire period. He gets KO'd by Haye at HW and loses to Bute at 168-175. And Toney is shot and into MMGay now anyway, so he should shut up.

You know what, I think B-Hop can give Bute a better fight than Miranda did or than Robert Stieglitz would.

Why not make it? Who else is Bute going to fight that is worth a damn until the Super 6 is over?

Hopkins is just running his mouth and Toney is not a boxer anymore so who cares? B-Hop gets KO'd by Haye, Dawson and Bute, he has nowhere to go but into retirement.
