I disagree. I've played both sports, and trust me, the only time I felt sore the next day after a boxing workout is if I was just getting back into shape, in boxing matches I've never felt sore just fatigued, in football you're sore from neck to toe each time the next day.
Also, in football, you're not just getting hit with two fists, on any given play you have guys of different sizes smashing into you from different directions. Many say that in boxing you get your brains smashed in. Well, I've been long su****ious of this, and now we're finding out that football has kind of kept the problem under the rug as far as brain related injuries are concerned.
Definitely the abuse the body goes through in football is far more than what a boxer endures. How often do you see boxers suffer a leg break in a fight, in football you end up getting the same type of injuries as in boxing and then some !!
