His style isn't all that appealing, but true boxing fans should appreciate his tremendous skills and brilliant ring intelligence.

I also consider him to be the total package. But, for someone who is all that and a bag of chips. He surely underperforms considering his immense talent.

I mean, think about it, lets use Peyton Manning for example, everyone loves watching him because he's like a machine gun on that field, would America be in love with him if he only averaged 12 throws and completed 12 of 'em for the most part. Great numbers, but you'd want more.

Just imagine, if Kobe is averaging in the higher 20's, low 30's each game but his shooting percentage is around 75%, so he decides to score less and ends averaging 15 points a game and bumps up his shooting percentage while the team's winning percentage remains the same, which Kobe would you prefer to watch ?

I dont think he is boring. I just get frustrated because he could do so much more in his fights then he does. But its like Wlad. If you can win without getting touched then why not do it?

Not at all. People appreciate a great defensive boxer, brilliant ring IQ, great at making adjustments in the ring, etc.

                  Boxing is a combat sport.

Football can be brutal at times, but it is in no way comparable to boxing's brutality, neither is Basketball. In Football players are encouraged to always be going 100% as well.

I think I may have given Floyd an underhanded compliment there, because he still dominates without going 100% apparently.

With that said I can understand why some people find Floyd boring or believe he is underachieving with his abilities, but that's just Floyd as a Boxer. If he has no problem picking you apart he won't change anything.

i don't think he's boring but for all his touted skills and talents his performance are below most people's expectations. i really think he should do more and give more. it doesn't matter if he wants to hit and not get hit but he should always have the intention to put some beating or even ko his opponent and not just coast along for a ud.

floyd is one of my favourite active fighters to watch, hes the epidomy of boxing. i love watching him get in there and figure out his oponents, make adjustments and outsmart them. hes so versetaille he can fight any way imaginable, a true boxing genius. thats what the sweet science is all about, ppl who dont like his style dont like the sweet science or boxing in other words. they are just in it for random violence, which is sweet sometimes but so is pure boxing and a real fan can appreciate both.
