Why were the refs instructions to Bute and Miranda in English?

Miranda only speaks Spanish and Bute I guess speak Romanian and French, and is just starting to learn English.

I see this all of the time before the fights start where the instructions are given out and there would be an English only speaking ref and two non English speaking fighters.

Seems dumb, and like it could cause communication problems between refs and fighters in addition to this being an easy issue to solve.

The ref doesn't speak their languages. I'm pretty sure they have a translator in the locker rooms though.
