Bob Arum is a promoter, not a babysitter.

Valero's was grown ass man and Arum was helping him out giving him the opportunity to fight in the States, but he obviously had issues to begin with and Valero ****ed that up on his own. It would look worse if Arum simply cut him off completely (like many promoters would've done), but he stuck by and inevitably Valero just went over the top. Valero simply had a lot of mental issues nobody could help him with, thus the conclusion we have now.

Arum's got nothing to do with this. He was his employer, not his father.

I don't get all these people saying Arum's right, how could someone be right in thinking of the inevitable of one man killing himself? Talk about more insult to Valero's remaining kins.

Scumbag Arum outta frustration is in that interview.
But why is Arum wrong in saying that? I've had a relative who commited suicide and we did all we could to help her prior, but inevitably it simply happened. When we found out we were devastated, but deep down we knew this was coming and we said it too. Sometimes things are just that grim to be honest.

          Well...

Arum saying those looked like he knew it from the start, and if he did, and he wasn't a shrewd one, he wouldn't have signed Valero for TR in the first place regarding Valero's problem. But money talks and he's a future cashcow hence.

I don't take away scumbag's freedom of speech, but at least he should've been sensitive to Valero's surviving relatives, it's like rubbing it on their faces.

It's different when, like you yourself I felt sorry for your relative who commited suicide, but you as a relative saying it prolly knew what was going on all the while. And you have every right coz you helped every step of the way.

It didn't apply to Arum though, he just promoted Valero, I just don't see it.

              A mom's still a mom mate.

I don't know if they (mom and sis) liked the idea of the news spreading worldwide about what happened to their son/brother, no matter how he beated them to a pulp. It's like entertainment at it's sickest form.

If they're down with it well then ok and good!

Wao, After all that has been said and all that Valero has done, can we imagine how good he could had probably been if he would had been a clean dedicated fighter with a realy heathly lifestyle????

                Sad Story!!!
