Pavlik vs Williams

I just finished watching Pavlik vs Martinez (first time) and i'm still convinced Pavlik can beat Paul Williams at 160....williams does not have Martinez lateral movement and speed....and he can't out pressure Kelly like he would another smaller fighter at 154 or 147.......he doesn't have a huge reach advantage over Kelly or an advantage in workrate.


I think it was a big blunder for them to fight Sergio......they should have picked an easier target until they could get Williams.

...also Martinez ****d Pavlik in that 9th round.........that should have been a 10-8 rd in Sergio favour.

Surely Williams has a higher workrate than Pavlik.

Other than that, though, you may be correct. However, I feel that Pavlik, in a sense, has broken. He does not seem to have an answer to adversity anymore.

I agree, I always thought(still do) style wise Williams was a much easier opponent for Pavlik then Martinez was.

I Agree. And both Pavlik and P.Will are overrated imo.

Pavlik could definitely beat Paul Williams. He didn't get smoked out of the building against Martinez as much as people are acting like he did, and Paul Williams doesn't bring huge stylistic problems to the table against Pavlik. It would be a brawl and Pavlik would win.
