Has Your PPV Opinion Changed With The Fight Nearing?

I havent seen Floyd on Chili's show yet. I didnt see the 1st 24/7 live but caught the youtube **** like a day or 2 later but I still wasnt watching it hard. Then I also havent seen the 2nd episode yet.

To me its weird because Im missing alot of this **** and in my mind it almost feels like a regular fight in terms of buzz when like a month ago I said it would easily double up the Pac-Clottey fight and I think it would do over 2mil.

However, I will excuse myself from this because I havent been up on **** as much lately so thats why I made this thread. Now that we are less than 2 weeks away, has your opinion on the PPV numbers for this fight changed in any way and what do you expect the numbers to be exactly?

From my position I just dont know if Im seeing or feeling the buzz for this fight that I expected less than 2 weeks out but Im out of the loop right now anyways so I could be dead wrong. What do you think? I know some might say NO and that 24/7 has been excellent, he's getting extra pub from Chilli and the marketing has been great

See what your saying. Certainly doesn't feel like a 2+ million blockbuster. But perhaps that will keep purse demands for a Pac fight in check. Though if Pac accepts OST, it wouldn't matter.

It will do alot if the ppv is world-wide and not just in America. If its in just in America where the economy isn't the best, then it won't sell 2 million probably. If its ppv world-wide then I expect it to even higher then 2 million, possibly 3 million.

They are only doing PPV in America?

Thats a mistake especially a Floyd Mayweather Jr fight, and Floyd has a huge following in the UK and its not going to be PPV over there? Whos dumb ass idea was that?

i cant say i would be surprised if it did those numbers. The majority american public are really ignorant & of low intelligence. Especially sports fans. This is the same country that voted george bush twice in office & made american idol & britnney spears.

I think they will do at 1.5 in the U.S. I would be surprise if it hit 2mil but I really hope it does.

it's difficult to say........Shane has never been a draw and because of that i think over 2 million is a resounding success.

Anything over 1.5 million is a success. Below that and i consider it unsuccessful given the large marketing campaign, media interviews etc etc.

It think over 1.8 mil. they have promoted well and got Floyd back to D.C. for a press con and they opened the NYSE (both done in Oscar vs Floyd fight).

Plenty of free marketing via boxing forums and youtube...heaps of promo vids.

24/7.....Floyd has stepped up the money mayweather character and now more publicity on Chilli's tv show.

All the publicity from the Pac fall out couldn't have hurt either and it certainly helps thats Shane is coming off a demolition job watched by20K plus fans.
