Ricky Hatton's only problem was being a fat ass when not on the job.

That and the fact that he chose back to back, horrible style match ups.

Otherwise Hatton could probably beat the majority of 140 STILL.

Cheers mate i missed friday fight night and yeah he does look to have lost quite a bit of weight. I still think he has 1 more good fight in him like you say he only lost to mayweather & pacquiao. I think he beats morales quite comfortably and obviously its a good name for the resume. He had his time and dominated 140 theres no point trying to dominate that division now. Imo if hes not too bothered about going out on a win then i say rematch floyd. The reason i say this is simple. Hatton needs motivation to make a return, floyd would motivate him. Mayweather fights for cheques, he makes more money with hatton than with anyone else besides possibly manny. Floyd would see it as an easy money making opportunity and we all know thats what he lives for. Floyd would fight him in an instant. Hatton has a point to prove, he wasnt completely out of that fight and without billy graham, without joe cortez on a different night it could have possibly been a different result. I admit this is positive thinking being a hatton fan but its either fight a bum and retire with a win or put it all on the line (which im afraid isnt a lot at this moment in time) and try to redeem yourself while you can.
But then again thinking about it if shane cant stop floyd hatton wont be able to. Whatever he decides to do though he's earnt the right. He was a great world champion and is most probably the reason im into boxing.

For me the build-up to the mayweather fight was electric, this loss hurts more than the pacquiao fight. Theres nothing more i would love to see than hatton return, fight, and become the first man to stop mayweather. But in reality i dont see it ever happening. Guess i'll just keep watching the old fights.
