    IF Cotto Murdered his Wife...

what would happen here at BS? cos i cant believe some people are continuing to support Edwin Valero. it is largely the people who are fans of his which says it all. im usin Cotto as an example because he such a well respected figure who has a lot of love here. but if it happened would he become a hate figure? i bet he wouldn't. he is my fav boxer but if he killed his mrs i would take all his pics off my facebook (lol) and condemn him to hell (if i was sure it was a deliberate act- WHICH VALEROS CLEARLY WAS BTW)

Miguel wouldn't murder his wife though. One of the reasons he is well respected in the boxing community is because of how he is outside the ring. Miguel is one of the good guys, a very upstanding young man. Valero on the other hand had a past and although shocking that he murdered his wife it isn't an earth shattering kind of thing for him, his past shows he is a violent man.

Well i think that any can commit murder no matter how they appear....i read that Valero was a pretty heavy alcoholic and being under the influence makes you lose your inhabitions, so your real feelings come out. And if Valero had hatred for his wife in the back of his head, then the alcohol could have brought those feelings out

Umm i wasnt shocked that he did something again but was shocked that it was murder. I dont know if he was in a bit of rage at the time or there is something mentally wrong with him but the thought of going to prison for life and never seeing the outside world again probably never went through his mind.
