Kelly doesnt even have the punch in his arsenal. A nice right hook that you step into like Floyd does wouldve floored Martinez.

Pavliks an orthodox fighter, his names not Paul Williams its no shock that his right hook isn't that good. Thats not to say orthodox fighters can't have good right-hooks, its just not very common.

He's not a southpaw, obviously he doesn't have that punch in his arsenal.

That's also why Martinez was open for it...he was fighting a 1-2 machine in Pavlik.

Martinez would not be as open to that punch if he was fighting Williams.

most fighters don't throw hooks with the backhand, just overhands. Thats why he aint throw it.

Martinez would have avoided it just as he did most the right hands, but the counter window is longer on a hook. Pavlik takes a bigger risk with hooks on the power hand.

You mean like the one he(Martinez) flawed Williams with?

Go look at some clips of Williams and you will see a fighter who is REALLY open to the right hook.
