He had a worse cut than the one Maidana gave him and wanted to go on...It's obvious his mind was off durring the Maidana ight...

He showed heart in the Maidana fight too by choosing to go toe to toe with a brawler. He could have easily outboxed Maidana and he decided to brawl, turns out that was a bad mistake and I believe he'll be better for it.

dude, even as a big fan of victor ortiz, i'll just say that its perfectly reasonable for people to continue to question his heart.
he just has to prove his doubters wrong or that the maidana fight truly was an off night.
              i personally think he will.
the potential is still there. he just has to fight intelligently like you and i know he can.

I like Ortiz, but he seriously needs to avenge that Maidana loss, that's the only way he can silence the critics.

Yes, you still can doubt his heart...He just chose to go toe to toe with a dude who got the power of a JMW and paid for it, and then quit after he took a certain amount of punishment. It reminded me of the first Cintron fight. And he pretty much confirmed it at the end, where he said "I don't deserve to take that much punishment, so I have a lot of thinking to do". That sentence right there lost a lot of respect from people.

I will say this though. He's learning to become a better boxer instead of falling in love with his power. He's showed some decent boxing skills in the Diaz and Allatorre fights, but his defense needs A LOT of work if he wants to step in the ring with guys like Tim Bradley and Alexander and come out victorious. Perhaps he'll show improved defense in the Campbell fight. I think he will, and I can also see him stopping Campbell. I'd like to see that happen. Somebody needs to shut that guy up. Bradley would have did it already, if not for the headbutt that ended it early.

If he manages to shake off that loss I think everyone at 140 will be in trouble
