That would be a long trip by car or train. I understand if no flights were available until Thursday or something like that, but they are talking Monday afternoon for flights recommencing, so I hope he's not very particular if it is Tuesday or Wednesday instead of Monday.

The UK government has closed its airspace, im not sure it will make any exceptions. Even for a helicopter.

WBC SMW champion Carl Froch was supposed to have arrived in Denmark saturday a week in advance of his supersix fight with Mikkel Kessler.

Due to the vulcanic ash over Great Britain and Northern Europe, Froch has been unable to arrive. This means that the scheduled media work-outs in Herning on monday has been cancelled.

"I will not sail and I will not go by car", Froch says to TV3. "It would be too tough for me."

Danish airspace is closed at least untill 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon. Froch says: "If I cannot fly to Denmark I'll cancel the fight".

He doesn't really want to fight, it's an excuse to duck Mikkel.

So much for Froch being a "warrior".

I'm sure you are aware that Britain is an island. Trainrides is possible via the eurotunnel from Dover to Calais so it's a pretty longass trip.

I'd imagine he'd be more concerned about losing real training sessions to time spent traveling. Getting through Europe by ferry/car is a bit of a nightmare to be fair.

That excuse wouldn't be valid. Training is over now. Only mild workouts from now on and untill the fight.
