Martinez was ducked even by the Golden Boy the guy who fought everybody wanted no parts of Martinez. Williams was ducked by several fighters as well. Cotto, Mosley, Pavlik, Berto, Mayweather, and Pacquiao never entertained the thought of fighting him.

Then comes December 5th, 2009. We get arguably the best fight of the year. Both get dropped. Both trade bombs. Sweat, blood and both men giving it their all. Both in their prime they give us a war that boxing fans wont forget.

Then you have Martinez winning the Lineal Middleweight Belts off Pavlik yesterday and looking great doing it. Just looking excellent dancing and floating around the ring and nailing Pavlik. Then you got Paul ringside watching every minute.

Now depending on Kelly if he wants to fight Martinez again which he might not do. Williams vs. Martinez II is on the cusp. I just think its pretty damn cool how two guys who were nobodies could have one of the most epic boxing trilogies weve seen and then for all the marbles.

Which is why I say these dudes were made for each other.

Williams vs. Martinez II is a fight I now want to see more then Pac vs. Floyd.

Its clear they are each others only threat.

    Cant wait.

    Props to the Punisher.

    Props to Maravilla.

The hate on these two need to stop they will give us some classic stuff to remember.
williams vs pavlik would have been better. martinez vs pavlik was the worst possible opponent for pavlik. this is bob arum & his 80 year old senile self doing the damage for pavlik.

ive said this a long time ago, pavlik would have been better off facing paul williams instead of martinez. pwill is all action just like pavlik. martinez is a slick moving counter puncher.

its time for bob arum to retire hand over the day to day operations to todd debeuoff.

Paul Williams is cool and all..but it's his size that makes him the man that he is in Boxing today..he's not highly skilled, very powerful, or even fast..I'll give him output and stamina..that's admirable I guess..but seeing him stand almost a foot over his opponents was UGLY to watch

and he was SQUASHING 147lbers because he's just a freak at 6'4 (he's not 6'1!) weighing 147lbs (think about that)...since leaving tho..he's fought a 2-year-layed off Winky..who's style is ALL wrong for someone like PWill..Verno Phiilips, Andy Kolle, and Sergio Martinez..whom I felt beat him the first time around (110-119 )..

Martinez on the other hand holds BOXING SKILL QUALITIES..such as speed, skill, ring generalship and intelligence to his game..and even his ****iness with his defense is fun to watch..His resume isn't really that good..but it can be argued that he beat BOTH Williams and definitely Cintron..that would make him have Pavlik, Williams, and Cintron...a SOLID resume..but hopefully he gets his rematch against Pavlik and Williams and beats them..so he can be a proven P4P fighter..

although fighting Pavlik and Williams 4 times in a row will be an EXTREMELY steep hill to climb up..it's gonna be very fun to watch him defend his title against them..

No need to hate on Paul to make Martinez look good. Williams uses everything in his arsenal to **** people up nothing wrong with that.

Martinez needs to win the next fight so we can have a trilogy.

            No HATE..just FACTS..

If Paul Williams was 5'9 with the average 67" reach..he'd be and average B-class fighter..it's not his fault tho..and he's taking full advantage of his size and ability to make weights such as 147 and 154 (which I do find INSANE) to dominate..but it's mainly his size rather than his skill that's getting him those W's..that's all I'm saying..

He rarely uses his height. Thats evident when he fights. If Martinez was slow hed be a bum. But it is what it is they have what they have.

What do you mean he rarely uses his height?..

did he not do some awkward ass under the arm uppercuts that was ****IN Winky's face up?..does he not flicker that lazy jab from like 3 feet away to set up his power shot?..

the boy is a freak of nature..and I'm not taking anything away from him..but he's far from being highly skilled..he's just a....freak of nature..lol

Thing is that you dont have to be highly skilled to be a beast in boxing. Look at Pacquiao. All you have to do is win.

                    Pacquiao..is Highly Skilled!..

that boy's handspeed, Footspeed, power, and smarts are outta this world..

he use to be just RAW POWER..and that only got him so far..(3 Losses)..now he's on a RAMPAGE because of his skill..

Pacquiao wouldn't be where he is if he were just full of "win"..he's been built in to that..now he lacks hardly anything in his game..
