there are a lot of cases where women stay quiet because of abuse , in valero's wife's case it was even worse living in venezuela whose womens rights record isnt anything to brag about . Valero was a famous athlete and a political tool for chavez ( he had a tattoo of the guy on his face!) . No way would he have been punished in the same way as other wife beaters , this is proven by the fact that he was let off last time! dont blame the girl , may she RIP

I remember her from the DeMarco fight when they showed her with the kids, she looked so small and petite. Damn, what a disgrace, kind of scary how human behavior is. hopefully we get more details on what thoroughly happened, but still damn. to stab and kill the person that you intended to love for the rest of your life...i mean, 'he got into a bar fight and killed the dude" its still fcked up but a less heinous crime. And not to make light of the situation, but women also need to know when they need to get out of something dangerous, she needed help almost as much as valero needed psychological counseling. in Latin American countries women are taught to stand and obey their man, but they need to tell women that its okay to stand up for themselves when their in danger. God mercy on us all and hopefully the venezuelan govt does something about domestic abuse.
