Doesn't work like that. Holyfield was the same weight as Tyson but taller and skinnier and he bulled Mike around easily. Tyson is not a very strong heavyweight, in spite of his squat muscular appearance, and this is evidenced by how he is usually the one being pushed around in the clinches.

Holyfield is not the same weight as Tyson. When Holyfield fought Tyson the first time Holyfield weighed 213 pounds. His highest weight ever was 219 vs James Toney. He was 215 in his last fight vs Larry Donald.

McBride is going to get koed in the first round. I've seen him fight once before, and he is a perfect opponnent for Tyson - big, extremely slow, and only an average to below-average chin (this last comment based on his record). Why else do you think that Tyson's camp picked McBride, instead of some other unknown fighter? Iron Mike just needs someone to knock the crap out of so that he can look good and make some money.

First off, Mike has never weighed in the high 220s. Excluding his weights when he checkin in over 230 lbs, his previous high was 225 lbs for both Savarese and Etienne. Before that, it was 223 against Botha and Norris.

Prior to his suspension for biting Evander's ear, his highest weights were 222 (Holyfield 1), 221 (Tucker), 220 1/2 (both Douglas and Berbick). The last time he was under 220 lbs was for the rematch with Holyfield, when he tipped the scale at 218 lbs. He was in excellent shape that night...

After that he has weighed 222, 223, and 225 lbs, as well as the 239 lbs against Nielsen in '01, 234 lbs against lewis in '02, 225 against Etienne in '03, and 233 against Williams in '04. And now against McBride he will be 233 lbs.

It is not impossible by any means for Mike to weigh in the mid 220s. He will get there. Fenech himseld said their camp was a confidence builder, where he brought Mike along slowly. Mike is in great shape for a McBride, and he will show it Saturday. If he fight again in a couple months like he said he wanted to, expect him to drop a few more pounds.
