What went wrong with Edison Miranda's career?

Was he over-rated or has he just not recovered mentally from his loses?

When he first burst on to the scene, many raved about this "warrior"/puncher.

But he has lost all his most significant fights and now appears to be turning into a journeyman.

    What happened?

Maybe acting proved to be a fatal distraction?

He never had a quality team or trainer, which is the case for A LOT of boxers such as Samuel Peter and Chris Arreola. He's a boxer that needs someone to improve his boxing skills, someone like Emmanuel Stewart or Jeff Mayweather.

He never improved. Perhaps he was handled wrongly but he has journeyman written all over him now.

he showed improvement in the fight, it wasnt good enough. he then resorted to some dumb sht, got sloppy and was taken out.
he clowned and tried to answer back instead of sticking to the game plan.
              he still wouldve lost anyways.
all those wasted yrs of being a 1 dimensional slugger took its toll.

He has potential with his physical talents, he just needed someone to improve his boxing skills, but after this loss he's pretty much done as a top contender. Miranda should have never taken this fight.

Maybe he does need a better team/trainer. But he said he changed trainers and now was boxing better. Well clearly, this is not the case.

                  Do feel sorry for him.

Just cannot take him seriously anymore.

The pantha is now a wounded animal and its off to the game reserve. The jungle is too wild for this lame cat.

Generally strong agressive punchers have a good chin, if they don't this happens. It wasn't like he could change mid-stream and become a stylist. Unfortunate because he was a likable guy too.
