He could fight Stieglitz and unify the 2 weak titles while the super 6 has the wbc and wba

I had the same thought about Taylor... if they can't match Bute with Hopkins that is. Hopkins is obviously the first choice because as long as BHOP is still fighting, HBO will be looking for someone who can beat him convincingly in order to put a shine on their newest rising star - in this case Bute.

But I wouldn't put it past HBO to drag Taylor out of Showtime's closet in order to try to put another name on Bute's resume. It would be no different than what they did by feeding him Miranda, another guy who has been prone to hitting the canvas in recent fights. I wouldn't give Taylor much of a chance against Bute at this point; I think Bute outpoints him or stops him late. Then again, Taylor still has enough left to test Bute's chin early, but that's a longshot.

what makes IBF and WBO weak compared to WBC and WBA?

the 2 best fighters in the super six don't even have belts. abraham and dirrell.

              super six publicity killed hbo.

trumping up bute is their way to tell showtime off.

you noticed all the super six talk last night?

andre ward went 12 with miranda. bute knocked him out in 3.

              abraham got a hometown decision.

              if he beats taylor impressively.

that can be use to downgrade froch and abraham too.

HBO's cruel but i dont think theyre heartless enough to put taylor in with bute.
                JT was like HBO's baby.

Bute is gonna be stuck again.

Steiglitz would be the only relevant fight.

I suppose they can trot out Jesse Brinkley or Manfredo for him, but he's kind of ****ed cuz of the super six at 168 anyways.

I really think if HBO gets it their way, Bute will fight Hopkins next and then Pavlik, after Pavlik rematches Martinez (win or lose, I don't know that Pavlik will wait around at 160 for Williams). Why else would HBO have spotlighted Bute and Pavlik on a split-city card, with Bute fighting one of Pavlik's most recognizable victims in Miranda? It's too convenient... they wanted fans to start picturing these two in the ring together.

                      Maybe, but -
If that were true it was a bad gamble on Pavlik tonight because now that fight looks irrelevant.

And Hopkins didn't exactly wow people against Jones.

I can't see any buzz for either fight.
