Chad Dawson is a Disgrace to Boxing

Why does he have a controversial win over 45 year old Johnson and very bare minimum embarrassing wins over Tarver? Good question. His only good win was over Adamek that he exposed.

Because Johnson is a deadly puncher and a young, novice fighter in Dawson took him lightly. Just look at what Glen Johnson did to Yusaf Mac in his last fight. But what happened in the rematch? Dawson boxed circles around him.

If he beats Pascal, then he's pretty much cleared the division. Hopkins doesn't want it, and HBO is acting like a b**ch about the Cloud fight. What else do you want him to do? Move up and KO Steve Cunningham? Give respect where its due. He's the best LHW right now, and a p4p fighter at a young age. A victory over Pascal will solidify that spot. You may not like his style, but a lot of people (including myself) don't like B-Hop's style either and look at him.

I can't wrap my mind around why he'll wait for Pascal to heel. Why not take a tune up to stay active? I don't think that's good....but ole well. He has the skills but if he continues fight 1 or 2 times a year. Somebody'll catch up with him and KO his ass.

Yeah Dawson's stock isn't high as it should be because of his inactivity. He should have fought Diaconu, Cloud, or Pascal already or at least one of those three.

Dawson can fight Diaconu, Erdie, Murat, or Danny Green right now to prepare him for Pascal (I would like to see him fight Diaconu). 90% of the boxers out there would be much more active if they were in Dawson's position.

Wouldn't he lose his title? I do agree that a tune up would be good. He's too young to be doing that. Maybe once he's in his 30s and at the top, fighting once or twice a year would be necessary but at the moment he shouldn't be doing that.

This guy is a disgrace he fights 1 or 2 times per year at the very most. He doesn't take boxing seriously.
2010 is looking like he will fight only once the entire year if boxrec is right that his upcoming fight will be in august. Then that means his next one after that will be 2011.
How can you prove anything when you fight once per year. This guy is a joke.

Dawson would've been better served to stay with Showtime because they kept him more active.
