I just got this nasty feeling he's going to get robbed - big time.

Seems to me Marinez is a little like Glen Johnson in that he's one of those great boxers that just will continually get bad decisions against him.

What do you think guys - if this goes to points can Martinez win? Would HBO be fair? It's in Pav's hometown too remember and he's promoting it.

I hope he gets a fair shake I really do. He did 12 vs Margarito he can make 12 with Pavlik I'm sure.

he does get the short end a lot. He's a guy nobody really wants to face because he is that good without a huge following. These people only follow the dollar signs. that means the refs, judges, promoters and bandwagon fans that only know names, not fights

I sure hope not. But if Sergio gets robbed, with Kelly's reputation the way it is, I think he'll be pressured into taking a rematch.

sort of, but that's why martinez has to really step it up and not leave **** to the judges.

Williams fight was not a robbery (i actually believe Martinez won)..

The Cintron fight was some BS i just think the Ref was a total ****** more then anything!

I don't believe he is a "fall guy" if he beats up Pavlik he will get the nod

have you ever considered that martinez stamina sucks and the fact taht he gasses in the late rounds such as in the williams fight is the main reason for why he keeps losing close decisions? Maybe if he trained properly he'd be able to go the extra mile and win like a real champion

Martinez is like Clottey, he blows his fights by having close ones. If he did a little bit more he would get the decisions. His style clearly doesn't impress the judges.

Martinez won twice in that fight, he knocked Cintron out and the ref waved the fight off then Cintron cried like a puto then the ref magically decided to let the fight go back on. I don't really understand how the ref is allowed to change their mind when they already made a decision. The ref waved off the fight, then we saw Martinez running around the arena as if he had won which he did but was robbed by the ****head ref.

                    1) Robbed by ****head ref from a KO that the ref was waving off the fight, then Cintron cried like a puto and got his way.

                    2) Martinez clearly won on points even though he was robbed of the KO, yet the judges smoked Cintrons **** the night before and gave Cintron a draw.
