    usa today pavlik article

Interesting note from reading usa today article. Pavlik blamed hopkins loss on an injured elbow, claimed this is his biggesst fight and that he is a natural 168 pound fighter

He looked like **** vs Hopkins not himself at all

This is his biggest fight because if he loses he drops off the face of the Earth and if he wins he's the best middleweight in the world again

and **** yeah lets see him at 168

I would love to see Pavlik move up, and take on Bute. I think he sparks him out. Would love to see him against the other super six guys also.

The great thing is he just turned 28. He still has 4-5 prime years left.

If he takes care of himself out of the ring, then yes he does. I don't know if he can beat Bute but at 160 I'd pick him over any and every person he faces.

Yeah. Might as well reign at 160 for as long as possible and fight and beat guys like Williams, Martinez, and Strum if possible instead of moving up and fighting Bute.

what's so surprising about a boxer finding excuses for why he lost? that's the only way a boxer can move forward with his career. they have to play these mindgames so that they can still say they have more to give.

Injured elbow my ass. Hopkins destroyed and enslaved Pavlik. But I think Pav would do decent at 168 especially against other 1 dimensional sluggers like himself (Abraham, Froch, etc)
