Stieglitz-Gutknecht and Zbik-Spada II in Germany today

The Robert Stieglitz vs. Eduard Gutknecht fight for the WBO super middleweight title appears to be a close matchup. I enjoy watching Stieglitz, he has a lot of heart and he's a decent puncher. Gutknecht is a good technician and has a win over former WBO champion Karoly Balzsay.

There's also Sebastian Zbik vs. Domenico Spada for the interim WBC middleweight title. Zbik has an ugly style similar to several American boxers such as Bernard Hopkins, holding his opponents' arms and clinching frequently. Spada is the exact opposite, he's an entertaining Gatti-like warrior who comes forward aggressively.

There should be an Italian TV stream later on when Spada-Zbik is on.

I like Stieglitz too. Interesting is that the fightwriter picks Gutknecht.

Zhitbik was **** last time he fought Spade. Like a less skilled Sven Ottke when even lesser steam on his punches. However he had a busted eardrum last time, so maybe he'll make a better performance tonight.

More results, courtesy of fight news:

"Female middleweight prospect Christina Hammer (5-0, 4 KOs) destroyed Patricia Braesick (0-2), scoring two knockdowns in round two before the bout was halted at the 1:01 mark."

Unbeaten featherweight Marcel Meyerdiercks (16-0, 5 KOs) put on a ten round boxing exhibition against Emiliano Salvini (13-11-1, 2 KOs), winning by scores of 98-92, 98-92, 98-93.

Unbeaten cruiserweight Mateusz Masternak (19-0, 14 KOs) crushed journeyman Marco Heinichen (11-23-2, 6 KOs) dropping him in round one and finishing him at :50 of round two. Heinichen’s corner threw in the towel after their fighter went down again in the second.

The two main events should be coming up anytime now.

I've only seen one fight of Gutknecht's and he's not any good.He was fortunate to get the decision over Balzsay.

He's actually a decent, undefeated young fighter with above average technical skills.

I can't find any stream for the Stieglitz-Gutknecht fight. I do have an Italian TV stream for the Spada-Zbik fight, but that one won't be starting for an hour or so.

Robert Stieglitz won nearly every round on his way to a wide decision win over Eduard Gutknecht, to retain the WBO super middleweight title.

Scores were 119-108, 117-111, and 117-110 all for Stieglitz.
