Who hasn't? Anyone in and around 135/140 would struggle with both of those guys. Very few could have knocked both of them out back to back in title fights.

Also, it wasn't so much the power of Diaz but just that he was able to land fast, quick punches in bunches. Cotto doesn't fight anything like Diaz. Still, I don't think Marquez would have beat Cotto. Just a bit too small. It was the speed of Diaz that gave him trouble though. Well, that and his reflexes at 36 had slowed enough that he was struggling with catching the punches properly. Diaz is a very quick fighter though at his best.

Anyway, if we're talking about Marquez now I'm not sure he could beat many WW's or JWW's. Most of those guys are all up and coming fighters at their first weight, which these days means they are huge for that weight and Marquez was a genuinely natural FW. Perfect size for a 126 pound guy. I think he'd have more luck at WW than 140 though to be honest. The 140 guys are a seriously talented bunch of fighters who would beat most guys today. Khan, Maidana, Bradley, Alexander, Ortiz etc. That's some serious talent.

It would be great if he was able to win his fourth title but sadly at WW and JWW there are no David Diaz's or Ricky Hatton's to do it against.

You kinda are saying the same thing I said. Cotto has faster handspeed than Diaz and if Diaz speed was giving Marquez problems, what do you think Cotto's would do. Not only that, instead of featherfisted punches from Diaz, those would be viscous shots from Cotto. Fact is, Marquez has reached his peak (135) and anything above that he will become even slower, and have his lack of footspeed greatly exposed.

Marquez beats none of those guys. Mitchell is a very good prospect, Judah is too fast and powerfull and Baldomir is just flat out to big for Marquez

I wouldn't say that, but I will say a bunch of so called journeymen and gatekeepers would beat JMM pretty decisively, which would be embarrassing and something I'm sure team Marquez wouldn't want to happen (which is why he would never go back up to WW again)
