Dwyer - Gambler's Advisory: Martinez will Beat Pavlik

well the greatest fight predictor in the world predicts a Martinez victory.

    some quotes from his video:

"sergio martinez has the vastly superior footspeed and can throw punches on the move"

"martinez is a very analytical counter puncher who throws combinations ..."

"...sergio martinez beat paul williams in their last fight"

"sergio martinez clearly beat cintron by an even wider margin"

"sergio martinez is the best fighter at 154...and even further. I believe that when Martinez beats Pavlik ... Martinez will be the best Middleweight on the planet."

"Kelly Pavlik can't hit hard on the move. He has a problem with fighters who move"

"Huge gap in handspeed in this fight."

"I also believe ... Martinez is a great natural defensive fighter ...after the first 2-3 rounds I believe Martinez is going to have Pavlik completely timed."

"Pavlik, doesn't have many combinations other than jab and right hand and to throw his left hook he needs to be right on you to do it."

"Pavlik will come across the ring early and will try to catch Martinez, use height, power, to corner him but will find out that even though his nickname is the Ghost, he's not the Ghost in this fight."

"There's a big difference between a very good fighter like Pavlik and a Great fighter like Martinez."

"Don't be surprised if Pavlik will get severely exposed in this fight."

"I expect Martinez to be the next middleweight champion."

"Sergio Martinez in my opinion is an unbeaten fighter."

"There's nothing Pavlik can do or even work on in camp to prepare him for the coordination and balance difference between himself and Martinez who also has the better stamina."

    "This fight is a mismatch."

p.s. I'll bet all my 50k points that Martinez will expose Pavlik and beat him. Any Pavlik fans want to bet let me know. Pavlik is favorite so give me decent odds. I'll bet my 50k to your 100k or let me know what odds are available right now

He is highly overrating Martinez if you ask me.

Martinez obviously has a great shot at winning the fight, but he is DEFINETLY not a great defensive fighter.

He doesnt have great footwork either. Although he does have great footspeed and great handspeed.

He also stops and trades a LOT. Bad idea. terrible idea. He also stops and stand in front of guys with his HANDS DOWN a lot. Another terrible idea.

He can also be worn down pretty quickly. He admits to being exhausted in the 2nd half of the Williams fight, and we all kno what happened in part 2 against Margarito.

If it goes to the cards, id say martinez wins a decision. BUt i dont think it gets that far. I like PAVLIK by KO in this one, maybe the 8th or 9th rounds. Pavlik is too big and too strong.

I like how Dwight said nothing about Pavliks jab.

        Said nothing about Pavliks power.

Said nothing about Martinez's stamina issues.

        Nothing about Pavs workrate.

Nothing about Martinez's willingness to trade.

Nothing about Pavlik being the biggest, strongest fighter Martinez has ever fought.

Nothing about the fact that Martinez fights with his hands down.

Nothing about the fact that Cinyron s jab and right hand kept Martinez honest at times.

Nothing about the fact that Pavlik has great body punching.

        Good Job Dwight.

For once, I agree with what Dywer said. I am now watching the Williams/Martinez fight and think even more so that Martinez is gonna work Pavlik over.

also Dwyer said that you should protect your bet with a wager on Pavlik ko, that means he's considering that Pav might pull it off.

all his pick are accurate most of the time but i think everyone gets them wrong once in a while.

lets not forget he liked quintana over berto in a fight where Q got ktfo

I admit though I had the martinez/williams fight scored slightly for williams or draw at best. and the #1 reason for that was because Martinez started to fade a bit late while Williams stayed strong or continued to get even stronger. So if this truly is indicative of a stamina issue with Martinez then that doesnt' bode well for him.
