Some Pacquiao fans think Morales was in his prime...

At 9:19 into the video, you can see Pacquiao's reaction to Morales getting shutout. The commentators suggested Morales to retire and Pacquiao to find another opponent. I find it interesting that Pacquiao's p4p status would skyrocket after his win over this clearly shot version of Morales. Also interesting, is how HBO now mentions "Pacquiao's two wins over Morales" as if it means anything, when right before the fight took place they considered it a worthless fight considering the low level of Morales at that time.
lol Pacquiao's face was funny as hell. He was obviously disgusted by Morales. Seriously though I don't know why Morales didn't rematch Raheem, instead he suffered two brutal losses to Pacquiao which was unnecessary.

You know where Pac got the body shot tactic from? That fight. In it Raheem hurts Morales worse than probably any other time in his career, apart from Barrera one. He also nearly got dropped for the first time, was hurt and staggered about three times throughout the fight and sadly looked terrible (not in the Morales 'Terrible' way though).

Very awful, sad fight. Yes, I'm surprised that Pac took that fight still afterward and I'm surprised that more wasn't made of the fact that he had been so beat up by Raheem previous.

That's how boxing works though. The popular guy gets overrated for wins that don't usually deserve the praise they get.
lol Raheem is a feather fisted lightweight, he wasn't hurting Morales at all.

Morales wasnt the same fighter after the first Pac fight, but i think he moved up to fight Raheem, the size and slickness off Raheem added to it

People wanna diss Pac for fighting Morales three times, the first time he lost a close decision, the 2nd time Pac whooped him,in a rematch that should have happened,Pac wanted his revenge

The funny thing is,people always talk about Ali's two victories over Frazier, well, after the first fight with Frazier, which Ali lost,Frazier got beaten up in very brutal BRUTAL fashion by Foreman, and then lost to Muhammed in a rematch, come the third fight, people thought Frazier was done, and didnt see the point in Muhhamed taking the fight, yet he did,and Foreman gave him the hardest and most damaging fight of his career

It shows morales was past his best and doesnt belong at 135.

Morales was sluggish and unable to outbox Raheem who was fast and slick. Now it is a bad style for Morales but he is the better fighter of the two he just isnt at that weight and age. At 126 for example if he is having trouble outboxing a slick fighter he could switch gears and pressure them and get the best of them in a brawl. But he cant do that at 135 with a guy who is bigger and also so much faster than him because he slowed down at that weight.

Now he was still competitive with Diaz and his last fight at 147 and that was based on his boxing skills which he still has but he has lost all speed and power at those weights which he used to have that made him the ATG that he was. In short he could still be competitive but he wasnt the guy he used to be at those weights.

The weight drain did him in.
