Shane was using a complete ****tail of drugs. Remember, this was the era that Shane was talking about going to fight Trinidad at 160.

BALCO wasn't the first time Shane used steroids. Shane used steroids to go from 35 to 47.

This whole saga is pretty sad really, I feel bad for Shane in a sense but in another I don't. This is the results of getting caught at cheating, so even though he's tried to move on with his life drug free, the specter, or stigma if you will is going to keep following him. In the end it all boils down to choices and the results of those choices.

Mayweather seems to get these advantages for important fights; he had a huge advantage just before the Corrales fight as well, probably his last important fight.

Here is the point getting lost in this debate. The question that pretty much answers the reason why the case between Conte and Mosley is still ongoing. DID SHANE BELIEVE HE WAS TAKING AN ILLEGAL SUBSTANCE?

It doesn't matter that Shane said, "Yes it was EPO". But the question is we need to know is did Shane think he was cheating. Did he think EPO was illegal? Mosley passed a polygraph that he unknowlyingly used steroids, for whatever that is worth. It was a step that Roger Clemons, and Barry Bonds have never taken in their defense. The Nydailynews is coming close to tabloid on this subject. Comparing Mosley to Marion Jones is laughable. Jones committed perjury under oath, while Mosley was upfront, at least to the grand jury. Jones had years of steroid abuse, while Mosley had 2 or so monthes(at least what we know for sure) and Jones was involved and other criminal activities, while Mosley was not. I

n retrospect, EPO was not a banned substance in boxing at the time of the 2nd De La Hoya fight.(That is the reason the 2nd De La Hoya fight has not been overturned) Now it is considered banned, so Shane Mosley did cheat in retrospect. But the question at the time is was Shane assured that he was taking legal stuff? Who knows, and it all dependent on who you believe. Most will believe Conte, a felon with a track record of deciet and lies, but some will believe Mosley. I personally believe both guys are convinced they are telling the truth, so that means we will never truly know.

But for those who know Mosley's history, his biggest mistake has always been trusting people too much. From his dad guiding his early career as a manager,(Jack was an underrated trainer, but a bad manager) to his now defunct marriage with Jin Mosley. Shane has always been the type who is quite amiable, and was led into decisions. So it is not out of the realm to believe Shane believed he wasn't cheating and thought what he was doing was legit. But the fact of the matter is, it wasn't legit. Shanes does bare responsiblity for what went into his body. But for people to keep hashing this story out is ridiculous. People need to let it go. It was 2003, it is now 2010. Mosley is taking USDA testing now and has passed all tests since. He smoked Margarito last year, and he wasn't using then. What more can the man do to try and clear his name.

Also for those suggesting distractions are going to play a part in the fight. That is not going to happen. If Floyd wins, he should get credit. He will be beating the 3rd best P4P guy in the sport. And vice versa for Shane. Let's just let this steroid stuff go. And lets focus on May 1st. Should be a great event. LET IT GO PEOPLE.
