Would there be any reason to dehydrate early in training camp. I'm watching the 24/7 now, and they mentioned him being dehydrated in the first episode. Would there be any reason for intentionally doing that? Also, when a fighter dehydrates in order to make weight, is healthier to sweat out as much water as possible close to the weigh in, or do it over the period of a few weeks?

He wasn't dehydrating.
It's called an intense workout and then being told to take a piss when he hasn't consumed water yet.Comment

As someone noted here, when you are constantly training on high intensity you are constantly dehydrated. Not a rocket science, really.Comment

Yeah obviously after sweating out that much after a workout at that pace, he would be somewhat dehydrated. Although He'd be drinking water throughout his workout. I was more just wondering for my own personal knowledge than wondering about Floyd. Anybody know about when losing water weight before the weigh in is best ideally?Comment

I am pretty sure Floyd does take supps of some sort, but so is everyone else. Basic stuff like fish oil and amino acids are a must when you are constantly sweating out nutrients.Comment
