Should Cotto be rematching Margarito to avenge his brutal and contoversial defeat?

An unbeaten fighter loses to a man later found to have gloves with a substance somewhat like plaster of paris on them in a brutal fashion. Who knows what this did to Cotto mentally, but he may never have got over it. If I were him I'd be rematching Margarito ASAP to erase the ghosts of the past. Should he give another payday to a "cheat"? Or does he just need to move on with his career and forget Margarito ever happened?

He should have an exhibition match(without head-gear on) against him so Margarito doesn't make any money from it. Do those still exists or are they mainly only in movies?

People are going to say he doesn't deserve a rematch because of his supposed attempt to cheat.

Margarito's ghost will forever haunt Cotto, no doubt about that. You'll see how all the Cotto stans won't want to see a fight because they don't want to see traumatized Cotto go through another beating and back it by saying Margarito doesn't deserve another dime.

there is no proof margo cheated. he cant forget that margo never happened because it did happen. the nevada commission watches hand wraps in that fight and people need to stop making those hand wrap excuses every single time. it is boring now, look just face the truth, margo was better on the night and won. simple as that

Shouldn't it be Margarito who is saying that he wants to fight Cotto for free to remove all doubts? I guess it shows he knows he didn't beat Cotto fairly.

            Ideally, yes.

Cotto feels cheated and his way of sticking it to Margarito is monetarily.

He'd have to go in there with another game plan though, and copy Mosley's style. You can't beat Margarito backpedaling. It's not going to happen, this is why I would have had him beating Pac before the Mosley beating, as I'm unsure if this chin is cracked.

Cotto has enough power if he is moving forward or plants himself, the style he used for the fight will never beat Margs.

If you was a boxers manager would you your let you boxer in the ring with Margarito? I sure wouldn't, he should be kicked out boxing period, especially since ****m Richardson pretty much confirmed those blocks in his hand wraps.

I can only see him fighting boxers at Top Rank stable, can't see any other manager wanting to negotiate a cheating piece of **** like him.

Hell yeah, Miguel needs to rematch Margarito, and avenge that loss... That dude might have cheated you. Cotto should be looking for big pay back against that "SOB"...without ?!

I agree. The only people that know if he did cheat in the fight are Capetillo and Margarito himself. If I felt someone had cheated me and that was the only reason they beat me I would want to take that rematch in a heartbeat, because I know I would beat them. It's not about money, it's about revenge and make him pay. If I was so confident I would even bet my purse for that night and winner take all. That simple.
