David Tua Vs Hasim Rahman 3?

I don't think it's over for Tua just yet, yes he did look as though he had regressed in his last fight, but he was coming off a two year lay off which is a huge amount of time.
the good thing about that last fight from Tua's point of view was the fact he got 10 rounds under his belt.

I think if Tua gets another couple of good tough fights and shakes off some ring rust he can still make an impact on the heavyweight division and possibly get a 3rd fight with Rahman, and set the record straight with him, and maybe finally win a major belt which he deserves.

first fight was a one sided fight for rahman with a BS stoppage. the second, the same thing for rahman but this one ended in a draw. the third probly wont attract a whole lot of interest. id rather not have the third fight anyway.

the punch was late, but i thought the stoppage was fair, tua would of eventually knocked him out, he was sitting on the ropes taking a lot of punches.

i remember hearing that tua was the type of guy that could sit around and watch paint dry(i assumed it meant he was patient, laid back)... at that point i knew he would never be a world champ... kinda like michael grant, tua just doesn't have the fire in him to do it...

it's nothing to do with fire, tua has plenty of that, it's just a combination of his excess weight, and the problems he always had with good ''boxers'' who could either jab or move

it kinda has to do with fire, he's too patient... waiting for that big shot, that sometimes never comes... against rahman, i was literally screaming at him to get agressive and punch in combinations... and his excessive weight may have to do with training, which may have to do with fire and how bad he wants it...

i remember being a big tua fan when he KO'd ruiz and wilson on HBO... then he struggled to beat oleg and izon and i was worried... then he lost to ike, which was OK cause it was ike, but then he stuggled with rahman... then he fought pretty weak opposition leading to lewis, which in turn lead to a dreadful performace... lewis can box, but there's no reason tua shouldnt have been more aggressive and forced lewis to fight a little more... its not like lewis is ali and dancing all over the ring... instead he just plodded around the ring after lewis eating jab after jab... when he did that again with rahman, i gave up on him.. i dont think he wants it that badly or he'd come in better shape, be more active and be much more agressive

if he could get his weight down to around 225-230lbs and trains hard he could still could make an impact, the one positive thing about his last fight with rahman was the fact he was throwing more right hands with authority which he rarely does, tua's peak was about 1996-1997 and that's a long time ago.
