Check out a Panamanian guy named Eusebio Pedrosa, in the early '80's he was the WBA Featherweight Champ, he defended at least fifteen times.

Yeah, it's funny that you remember him on a fight that he lost because I vividly remember him getting KO'd by Alfonso Zamora in 2 rds.
Some fighters are best remembered for their loses, but he was a great fighter nontheless.

SORRY DUDE I JUST REMEMBER IT AS A CHILD.

it launched Mcguigan into British boxing folklore.

Ok a more positive note, Pedroza holds the record for number of defence sat Featherweigfht.

          he was a fantadtic champ.

in fact 5th on my list

          Pep
          Saddler
          Sanchez
          Nelson
          Pedroza.

            Great post.
Pedrosa was a great great fighter, it's sad he's not remembered by a lot of people, a true Champ with a respectable legacy.
I believe he made to the International Boxing Hall Of Fame.

thnak smate, he didnt make it as much as floated in!!!

              great champ no doubt.

Some of the problem we have on her eis that there are so many boxing fans, but they are only fans of the present.

This thread being an exampoe i mean Mayorga and fretias, modern day good solid fighters but greats, hell no.

Porbs we have is alot of people just cant be arsed to find out and read or get tapes which is fine, but dont give give it the large one about this or that fighter being a great.

Theres a few boxers aorudn at the moment who will go down as great but only a few.

for example til pep met saddler he was 127-1.

who in the hell is going to do that now!!!

Im only 18 so Im not gonna know a whole lot about boxing past the last 20 years, but thats why I put up this thread to find out a bit more about the greats to come out of Central America. Thank you to the people who posted some info about my question but DAMN JPW you gotta be the ******est mother****er on Boxingscene cuase your map dosent show that Mexico is part of Central America all the countries that are Central America are outlined in yellow....Anybody that knows anything about geography knows that Mexico is part of North America ask any Mexican on this site.......So JPW shut the **** up already and stick to what this website is about BOXING cause you dont know **** about geography
