Hatton pulling a Floyd Jr. - "Taking Leave of Absence"

With the talent and potential matchups, not to mention money, out there for the loaded 140lb division....Ricky Hatton looks to be taking a "Leave of Absence" a'la Mayweather.

Bradley, Valero, Campbell, Maidana, Ortiz, Alexander, Khan, Peterson, Holt, Marquez (maybe)......could have there own Super 8 Tourney....possibly 10 fighter tourney....

What if Hatton was just resting, biding his time, watching these fighters take each other out, then step in for a couple of paydays?

Just something I was wondering.....does Ricky have that in him? Wondering what everyone else thought about that scenario.....

Not really. Hatton looks done and just got KTFO in his last fight. Mayweather retired at the top of his game when there was a list of excellent opponents available

Hatton has a better excuse to take time off than FLoyd did at the time.

I wouldn't say "done"...he lost to the 2 best fighters at the time, AT THEIR PEAKS, no shame in that...just means that Hatton isn't meant for being #1....ain't nuthin wrong with being #2, #3 or even #4.

Aren't the fighters in the JrWW division a list of excellent opponents?
