In a joint effort, BoxingScene and Fox Sports put together one of the better articles looking at the inaccurate portrayal of Max Baer in the box office smash Cinderella Man. Great job. I'm so sick of this 'Cinderella Man" crap. I'm sure Braddock was a nice fellow, but to depict Baer as a heartless villian is ridiculous and irresponsible. Ron Howard should have done his homework..and also should be ashamed.
Thank you Frank for putting the truth out. Max Baer could have been one of the great ones, but his pain from killing a man put him in a bad state and he never trained as he should have after those accidents. This coming from someone who has spoken to friends of the family. A friend of mine is the son of one of Max Baer's drinking buddies.
