  • Comments Thread For: Insider Notebook: Hopkins vs Golden Boy; Pacquiao, Floyd

By Robert Morales - Richard Schaefer stood inside Classic Kickboxing Gym on Monday in Pasadena, Calif., ready to play host to a workout for "Sugar" Shane Mosley, who May 1 will take on Floyd Mayweather Jr. at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Prior to the proceedings, Schaefer spoke in perplexed tones with BoxingScene.com about the comments made by Bernard Hopkins in the days following his decision victory over Roy Jones Jr. on April 3 in Las Vegas.

After the fight, when Schaefer came out to press row to inform everyone Hopkins had nearly fainted in his dressing room - courtesy of the rabbit punches landed by Jones - Schaefer told reporters in so many words that Hopkins might want sit down and think about whether he should continue fighting. Schaefer did not say that Hopkins definitely should retire. [Click Here To Read More]

LOL @ Roach. The real reason why Pacquiao will lose the congressional election is because people know he don't know s**t about how politics work. People over there know that Pacquiao didn't finish grade school, so of course he wouldn't know s**t. That Doctorate s**t he got from a college over there, man f**k it, I know how my country works with people who are rich and famous; and this is coming from a Filipino.

He's literate, but he don't know s**t about politics. That's all I'm saying. Here in America, they put on a show where Pacquiao is like a god over there, but try to go to the Philippines and you'll find out that a lot of people make fun of him and a lot even hate him. It's just that they support him when he fights and want him to win because he's a Filipino. And also, to top it off, only a little percentage of politicians over there actually supports Pacquiao. Most just wants the money and fame to be with him, a good example would be that Chavit Singson guy. That dude just wants the money. He has the background of doing it.

The point was people gave Floyd Sr **** about not finishing highschool while manny has less of an education.

Lmao. One little paragraph about Pacquiao out of all of that, and that's what the comments are about.

I feel Hopkins tho. Even though I feel he should retire, no one should say ****, especially Scaefer before talking to him.

Richardson is a smart, smart man. I'm pretty sure he has something up his sleeve for this fight and I can't wait. I just think Mayweather will be too young, too quick, and too good for Mosley tho.

True True. I think the real reason behind it is because of Sr.'s antics. I actually think its funny, but a lot of die hard fans of those that got insulted hate him to death. And also, no one can change the fact that Sr. got caught with ******* in laundry detergent boxes. I think that's why they call him a lot of names.

B-Hop should retire unless he can find a good cruiser or heavyweight to fight.
