CORRALES-CASTILLO NOT THE FIRST OF ITS KIND
"24-KARAT" ROLD ON EDWIN ROSARIO-JOSE LUIS RAMIREZ II

A national ad for the replay in papers like the New York Times and USA Today quoted one brilliant scribe (me) as stating that it was the best lightweight title fight ever. Interestingly enough, it would be the first time in 21 years a bout waged at 135 pounds would receive those annual honors. The last time a lightweight title fight was named fight of the year was in 1984.
